Medtec China 2020 held from 14 to 16 September drew the curtain at Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center. After more than 8 months battle with coronavirus outbreak, OGP Shanghai was gathering together with old and new customers again on this grand event.Over 400 international exhibitors from R&D, Production/Manufacturing,Purchasing, Engineering, QA, Regulation and senior administration brought out their pioneering technologies in the field of medical raw materials,Components, Tubing & Extrusion, Surface treatment & Adhesives,Electronic Components, Motors & Motion Control, Pumps & Valves,Automation, Moulding, Additive Manufacturing, Cleanroom & Environmental Control, Testing, Metrology, and Consulting services. OGP Shanghai, as the focus point of Testing & Metrology Pavilion, attracted great numbers of audiences to stop and watch OGP SmartScope demonstration, to participate in the pleasure of measurement.
Let’s review the outstanding performance of OGP SmartScope® Flash™ CNC 300 on the trade show:Critical dimensions on the stem tibia include a combination of standard feature geometries, complex surfaces and profiles. Optical, laser and tactile sensors are needed to fully measure all features. Since the outside profile has a sharply-defined edge, optics were the best choice to characterize the profile of the part. With this profile established, a touch probe was used to acquire all surface geometries in 3D space. The TTL Laser was used to collect high density measurements on the part’s surface. Measured data was imported into SmartProfile® for complete GD&T analysis. OGP Flash CNC 300 along with MeasureMind®3D software successfully reduced the measurement time of the stem tibia implant by over 50%.
